January Student of the Month is Kallie LaBrie. Mrs. Clausen had this to say, "I’m proud to nominate Kallie LaBrie for Student of the Month. Kallie is the kind of student every teacher hopes to have. She’s a leader without ever trying to be—she just naturally steps up, works hard, and sets a positive example for everyone around her. Whether she’s focused on her schoolwork or involved in her extracurriculars, she always puts in her best effort. What really makes Kallie stand out is her character. She has strong morals and a good head on her shoulders, and you can see that in the way she treats people. She’s genuinely kind, respectful, and always willing to help someone who needs it. She makes others feel seen and supported. Kallie is truly the embodiment of our school’s mission statement. She empowers herself to learn, achieve, and lead, and she inspires others to do the same just by being herself. She is absolutely deserving of this recognition.” Congratulations Kallie!

Mrs. Crystal Lett is the December recipient of the Core 3 Award for the MS, nominated by Maria. The Core 3 Award allows students to recognize any staff member who empowers students to learn, leads with kindness and by example, and exhibits excellence. The Core 3 reflects our mission statement of "Empowering Learners, Inspiring Leaders" and our motto of "A Tradition of Excellence." Maria nominated Mrs. Lett because "She is so nice, and when I come in every day, she makes me smile. She makes people laugh and gives them a good day, even when they've had a bad one. Mrs. Lett brightens my day, she makes others' days like that, too." Congratulations, Mrs. Lett!

The Annual Class Christmas Tree Decorating Contest is on display in the main foyer. There is some great creativity in those trees!
The basketball season will begin with home games starting on December 16. Here are some spectator rules we want to remind everyone of to allow for the best fan experience we can. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to a great season.
The 2nd Quarter ends on Dec. 18. Quarter Tests will be taking place Dec. 17-18. Please avoid absences!

COYOTE CLASSIC SCHEDULE UPDATE:
Here is the most recent updated schedule for the Coyote Classic for Friday’s games. Please hang with us as the schedule has shifted quite a bit due to weather conditions. We appreciate your patience and flexibility.
Activities Update:
The Glasgow Wrestling Tournament has been pushed to a one day tournament on Saturday with a 12:00 PM start time.
Due to uncertain road conditions and weather, we want to remind parents that if you feel it is necessary to pick up your child early, please contact the office. As of 1:30 p.m., the Fairfield Wrestling Mixer has been canceled. Saturday’s Speech and Drama meet has also been canceled because participating schools have withdrawn due to weather concerns.

As of right now, our wrestling mixer with Fairfield is still on. We have moved the start time back to 6:00 PM to allow for travel. If anything changes, we will keep the community updated through Facebook as well as our school website.

He started the year picking a difficult class. However, despite the level of the class, he has been working hard to learn the material and rise up to the challenge. Additionally, he has been diligent in making sure he does not have any late or missing work, and he has been asking for help often to make sure his work gets done right. The amount of growth in character this is showing is phenomenal and deserves to be rewarded. Nolan is a dedicated young man who has a good heart. He often can be found walking through the halls with his friends and laughing with them. His humor is entertaining and he keeps his jokes relevant and appropriate in class, trying to bring a laugh to teachers and fellow students when appropriate." Congratulations Nolan!
