If you have ever thought about teaching Agriculture Education but worried that you did not have the teaching credentials, there are options. It is possible to obtain a teaching license without a teaching degree. If you are interested in learning more, call the high school.
As part of the accreditation process, Montana schools have been asked to create a "Graduate Profile" sometimes called a "Profile of a Learner". This profile is intended to be a statement of skills, knowledge, and dispositions students need to be successful in and beyond the classroom. It is a statement of skills that translate across occupations and will help our students be successful throughout life in the modern world.
Attached is a draft of the Profile of a Learner for Malta Schools. This was formulated through discussions with school staff and students about jobs that exist and jobs they expect to encounter as adults and the traits they will need to be successful. Local business leaders were also asked for the traits they are looking for in potential employees that make them more effective and employable.
The feedback from all three groups were compiled and the 5 most common traits were used to create the Profile of a Learner and the statements that accompany them.
If you would like to provide feedback to the draft Profile of a Learner, please send comments to feedback@maltaschools.org
Reminder: The Born to Shine presentation for parents and community members is tonight at 5:00 PM in the Auditorium.
